Ideas for your Valentine’s dinner

Valentine’s day is going to be here before you know it, so it’s about time you start thinking about date ideas. Going out can be expensive, and when you have a beautiful home with TruLog™ Steel Log Siding to enjoy, maybe it’s time to use that kitchen.  To help you out we’ve gathered our best ideas for organizing a dinner at home for valentine’s day that you want to forget about. An at-home dinner doesn’t have to be expensive, it doesn’t require a lot of effort but it can be a lot of fun and very tasty to cook something yourself. Prepare one of these dinners while the two of you are away together at your log home for a couple of days. That would be one of the most romantic things you could do for Valentine’s day.

A good lasagna

Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good lasagna? Most of us do, so it’s a great meal to prepare for valentine’s day. Lasagna will indeed cost you a little more time to prepare since it needs to be in the oven for a longer amount of time, but it will be so worth it. This recipe we found is perfect. It is of a creamy ricotta lasagna with tomato sausage that will keep you busy in the kitchen for 30 minutes after which it takes one hour and 10 minutes to cook.

Healthy chicken

When you’re looking for a slightly lighter meal that is also a little more healthy then you want to try this chicken with a quinoa pilaf. The good news, it takes only 45 minutes to make and it couldn’t be a lot simpler. Yet it’s a healthy and tasty meal with a good piece of chicken.

The fish option

Is your log cabin on an Alaskan river?  If you know about salmon fishing, then this delicious salmon dish might be for you. You will probably want to add something to this piece of salmon, but it’s so good! The salmon will be crusted with maple and walnuts, which creates a crunchy and sweet flavor. You could add a delicious salad to this meal for example, like the one in the next recipe.

A salad that screams love

Strawberries and champagne, should I say anything more? In 10 minutes time, you’ll have this delicious salad ready to serve to your partner proving that being rustic in your log home can still be fancy. It’s a simple salad with some spinach, strawberries, walnuts and a vinaigrette made from champagne. Yet, it has an amazing flavor that will complement other parts of the meal perfectly.

Do you know what you want to make for your Valentine’s dinner? You have plenty of ideas right at your fingertips so I am certain you’ll find something that is going to make the night perfect. You can choose whether you want to be done quickly or spend hours in the kitchen. All is possible! All of these dishes can also be prepared while the pair of you are away together spending a couple of days in a log cabin in the woods. The most important thing is that you make a fun evening out of it together with your love or even with your group of single friends.
