Pros and Cons of Cabin Camp Ground Camping

If you want a mix of RV-ing and having your own space while on vacation, you might want to consider renting a cabin in a campground. Here are the pros and cons of doing so!

Pros of campground cabin rentals

As well as living in a cabin, you’ll be able to enjoy the atmosphere of the campsite. Especially if you are on vacation with children, the campsite atmosphere is lovely. You’ll be able to access amenities and all of the activities of the campground, including kids and teenage clubs.

Campground cabin rentals also have the huge benefit of being able to prepare your own food – you can even cook it around the campfire if you wish!

Cons of campground cabin rentals

People often presume that cabin rentals are cheaper than hotels. In fact, they can be a lot more – especially in peak season! However, if you use the cooking facilities and make your own meals, you can save a lot of money.

It’s also important to be aware that there is no real standard for cabin rentals. This means that you may end up with a super luxury cabin or something very rustic and rural! For this reason, if you are at all unsure about  any features in your cabin, ring up and ask lots of questions before booking, or even ask for some images.

You should also be aware of what you ask for in a cabin rental. For example, many cabin dwellers will only stay in cabins that provide bed linen and towels. Make sure that you have a clear idea of what your cabin offers before agreeing to rent in, and it, and if it doesn’t make it clear on the website, look for other options or ask them for more information.

Campground cabin rentals are awesome, and we bet that you’ll love your vacation there, as long as you have a good idea of what to expect!
