Western Cedar Log Siding Home in Thompson’s Station

Finishes

Western Cedar

Project Overview

Project Summary

Set on a wooded Tennessee property, this home in Thompson’s Station is finished in Western Cedar log siding that brings out a warm natural glow across the entire exterior. The rich cedar tone pairs with deep brown trim to create a cozy lodge feel that fits beautifully into the surrounding landscape. Large dormers, a full wraparound deck, and a tall stone chimney add architectural depth and help the log siding stand out even more. The back deck spans the entire length of the house, creating a perfect outdoor living space with scenic hilltop views. From the wide front porch to the dramatic rear elevation with floor to ceiling windows, this project shows how log style steel siding can deliver a high end rustic look without the upkeep of real wood.

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

Building or remodeling is a big decision, and we want you to feel confident every step of the way. Here are some of the most common questions homeowners ask about TruLog® steel siding.
How long will TruLog® steel siding last?

TruLog® siding is made from heavy-duty steel with a baked-on finish. With proper installation, it can last 40+ years without rotting, warping, or fading like wood or vinyl.

There are many options to choose from in the log siding industry including steel log siding, real wood log siding, concrete log siding, and vinyl log siding.

Steel log siding from TruLog™ has no maintenance! You don’t have to paint, stain, or seal our steel log panel like other log siding materials. You can just wash it off with a garden hose! Wood log siding will require you to stain or paint and seal it every 2-3 years. Concrete log siding will need to be sealed every 1-2 years. Vinyl log siding doesn’t require regular maintenance, but is much more prone to fade and chalk and the panels must be replaced rather than repainted.

To get the most accurate material estimate, we will need the measurement of your home including: the length and width of your home, the wall height, the pitch of your roof, and the dimensions of your doors and windows. Learn more about how to measure for TruLog™ siding, and contact us for an estimate when you’re ready.

TruLog siding is made from high-quality, heavy-gauge steel with a durable, baked-on finish. It’s designed to look like real wood logs or wood grain siding while providing superior strength, weather resistance, and zero maintenance.

TruLog offers a variety of profiles, including log siding, lap siding, and board and batten steel siding. Popular colors include Cedar, Dark Walnut, Autumn Brown, and Weathered Gray, among others.
