A new DIY Network series chronicles the story of a man and his father, who have combined their talents and skills to build the son an off-the-grid wood cabin in North Pole, Alaska. Bryce Ward, the Mayor of North Pole, is working with his father, Jeff Ward, to construct the dwelling deep in the Alaskan forest.

We love the look and location of this beautiful log cabin abode. At TruLog™, we believe in the value of rustic family dwellings, where you and your loved ones can get away from it all and enjoy the majesty of nature, together. With our American-manufactured steel siding product, you too can get the look of a log home while saving yourself from the expense and time commitment of log construction.

DIY Network Airs Show about North Pole Log Cabin

With the help of his father, Bryce Ward is constructing his Alaskan cabin so he and his family can enjoy the majesty of the Northern Lights in the remoteness of a dark sky. According to DIY Network, Bryce’s cabin is 16 miles outside of the town of North Pole, nestled in Alaska’s interior. You can’t reach his new cabin by road, only via trail on foot, ATV or snowmobile. Bryce has been hauling in materials to build his cabin over the last 7 winters.

Bryce Ward is not alone in his desire to enjoy a rustic home set apart from the hustle and bustle of the country’s most populated areas. Many people can relate to the desire to get away from it all, preferably in a log cabin home. With the DIY Network‘s new series, we get a rare glimpse of what actually goes into constructing this type of home.
