Hanging Artwork in Log Cabin

If youโ€™re spending a lot of time at your cabin, you might want to hang some artwork on your walls. It can make the place look a bit homier and personalized. However, because cabin walls arenโ€™t flat surfaces, it can be tricky to hang artwork on them. However, weโ€™ve put together a how-to guide to teach you all about hanging your artwork on cabin walls!

Make sure that you have the right hangers

At first, you might want to make sure that you have the right hangers to drive into the wood. You can purchase a hanger suitable for whatever picture size you have. Or, if your picture has a hook or hanging string on the back, you can use a sturdy nail.

Mark the wall

Then, decide where you want the picture to be. Hold it up, and make sure that it looks good from close up and far away. Then, add markings to the wall. Then, measure the hanger and add this to the wall.

If there is a string on the back of the picture, pull it up and measure where it sits. This is where your picture will hang.

Put the hanger on the wall

The next step is to place the hanger on the wall and drive a nail through it. Your hanger should then be completely secure on the wall.

If your picture already has its own hook, you can also just screw in a large nail into the wall.

Place the picture on the wall

Place the picture on your hook or hanger. Take a look at it from close up and far away to check it isnโ€™t wonky. If it is, you can usually straighten it just by gently nudging it either way.

As long as you have the right equipment, hanging your artwork on log cabin walls is easy!
