Are you an avid cyclist? In America, we are lucky to have an abundance of adrenaline-boosting bike rides throughout every state. If you are looking to take to the saddle and see some of our amazing country from two wheels, here are some of our favorite cycle routes!
Green Mountains Loop
This cycle route goes through not one but three states: Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York. The Green Mountains are – as you might have guessed – green colored mountains (apart from in the fall!), and there’s a well mapped out 370-mile green mountain loop that will take you through the heart of them. It’s best to do this route in late spring, summer, or early fall, as the area can get very snowy in the winter.
Minneapolis Mural Tour
This ride is a bit different – it takes you through the city of Minneapolis with stops at many of its best murals! It starts at a famous doughnut shop and ends in one of the city’s best bars, so you can have a beer to celebrate finishing. It’s a 33-mile cycle route that will help you to see the best of the city – just don’t rush it, as there’s a lot to take in!
This Montana cycling route takes you through Glacier National Park. It’s a 32-mile route that traverses through mountains and passes through some epic scenery. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but if you’re an avid cyclist, you’ll love it.
You can take to Highway One in Big Sur California on two wheels. This route will help you see some of the best parts of the Californian coast, with the waves crashing in, while enjoying authentic California culture on all of your rest stops. There are routes for all abilities, so you can map one out that will suit you!
Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or a newbie to the saddle, you’ll find excellent routes in every state!
